About

Technical Lead at Track Titan, with fifteen years building software and leading the teams that do it. I work best where product and technical decisions meet.

That has run through branding agencies, survey software, PropTech and now motorsport: leading front-end teams, running framework migrations, and owning technical direction end to end. Early years in design left me with a keen eye for UX. I also enjoy tinkering with Go in my spare time.

Experience

Track Titan

Technical Lead

Leading development at a motorsport technology startup building coaching and telemetry tools that help sim racers find lap time. I own the platform's technical direction and work across the whole stack: the game SDKs that capture telemetry, the pipelines that ingest and process it, the driver-facing apps, and the white-label desktop apps shipped with hardware and platform partners. Alongside shipping features I set the standards: code review, CI/CD, local developer experience, observability, and the architecture decisions that keep a small team fast.

LandTech

Senior Software Engineer

Delivered new datasets to customers in a cross-functional team: database design, front-end components, and upgrading a brownfield Express/GraphQL server. Became the team's Apollo Server specialist and the go-to engineer on front-end components, publishing my own SQL data source package. Later moved to the LandFund team, where I led the Vue to React migration, built a fully working local environment and improved the git process.

SmartSurvey

Lead Front-end Developer

Led front-end development and the front-end team in an agile environment, shipping features, building POCs and overseeing every front-end pull request. Drove the move to Vue.js, which opened the door to far richer client-side features and a much improved user experience.

DesignReligion

Head of Digital (2017–2019) · Digital Creative & Developer (2013–2017)

Oversaw all digital projects, the development team and a designer, and was involved in every project from design and pitching through to development and deployment. DesignReligion was a branding agency with no digital offering when I joined; the department was built around me. We primarily built bespoke WordPress sites on a theme I developed, alongside custom projects in Laravel and Angular / Vue.
